Yorkie Year in Review

Yappy New Year!  Yappy 2010!  Wow.  Time flies even for me,  a furry five pound pooch.

Like that funny New Yorker, Dave Letterman, I thought I’d share my top ten highlights of 2009 for my very first blog of the New Year.   OK here goes . . .

1o) I met Oprah!  Yup, Oprah and I hung out together between breaks at her show in Central Park last September.   A nice human and she smelled good too!

9) Made my singing debut in a landmark NYC store window on busy 57th St.   The next Susan Boyle?  You be the judge . . .

8 ) Did a weather report during the world’s biggest pie fight!   How many humans can utter that sentence?   Click below and howl!

7) My pesky sister, Pudge and I starred in an episode of “The Haunted”, a new series on Animal Planet.    Scary . . . acting that is, not the show.   BOL!    I’ll update you when I find out when my episode will be running.

6) I learned how to Twitter.    How tweet is that.   Arf-Arf!

5) My “Doggie In The Window’ promotion at the famous Lee’s Art Shop in NYC was a big success.   Not only was I the first canine to get pet trick requests on Twitter from humans all over the USA -  even from Japan and Egypt, but they also watched me and Pudge perform them LIVE on my Schmitty cam!   And thru the sales of my 2010 Healthy D0’s & Don’t calendar and the generosity of Lee’s Art Shop -- we raised $1200.00 for Bobbi & The Strays, a fab shelter in Queens.

5) Learned that even holistic vets know how to party at the AHVMA convention in Fitchburg, MA this past fall.   Who knew!

4)  Hanging outside the Regis & Kelly Show on Halloween proved that humans really are crazy!

3) Got to rub paws with runners from all over the world at the NY Marathon this past November.

2)  Was invited to perform at RI Pet Expo &  AKC “Meet The Breed” Show in NYC.

1) Spending time with friends  . . .

To borrow a quote e-mailed to me from my good friend, Diane of the tail wagging Goochi Poochi shampoo products:

“Life may not be the party we imagined . . .                                                                                but while we are here we might as well dance!”

Look forward to dancing together a lot in 2010.
