Schmitty Says ‘Burrito Weather’ on Cinco de Mayo

by Meteorologist Ron Trotta on May 5, 2010

May 5 -- Happy Cinco De Mayo! Today we celebrate Mexican Heritage. Across the country, it’s a day to be doing a hat dance and singing La Cucaracha. In NYC, the mugginess has left us and there will be a high of 81° with bright blue skies all day long. Other than a little storminess across northern Minnesota and an annoying line of thunderstorms working its way through Northern Illinois and Michigan, it’s a beautiful day in the USA.

DAY: Sombreros & sunglasses suggested. T shirts & summer slacks work. A sundress day (just ladies I hope).  Leash and harness a must for us pups, but clothing optional.

NIGHT: Ponchos, a light sweater or blazer for after 5:00. In crowds, reflective wear for pups is a good idea.
