I *heart* David Frei. There -- I said it. Me, a five pound Yorkshire terrier from the upper west side of NYC has a crush on the legendary voice of Westminster. I found out David has a foundation, Angel On A Leash -- to train America’s therapy dogs. So, one day my 2 legged Mom, Elly McGuire and I came up with an idea to help raise money for Angel On A Leash. A doggie fashion show. So, we teamed up with my fave NYC hotel, the pet friendly New Yorker Hotel and created the first Big City Little Dog Fashion Show to kick off NYC Fashion Week and the start of Westminster.
I’m just a dog, but I hear tails have been waggin’ and tongues have been braggin’ about what a fun time everyone had at our big doggie fashion show. Someone said it was like being at a Hollywood premiere. I’m so excited I could just pee! Not only was The Big City Little Dog Fashion Show everything I dreamed about and more. . . . but I got to hang out with *sigh* David Frei. I love it when a plan comes together! But enough barking -- here’s some fun pics and videos:
Lots of 2- legged and 4-legged fashion hounds had fun at the red carpet barktail hour before taking their seats for the big show.
That big pic of Pudge and me would never fit in my NYC co-op! Arf-Arf!
So why do they call this a "catwalk"?

And a big Woof! Woof! to all the pet loving guest who gussied up their pets . . . whatever that means . . . to vie for a chance to win “Best In Show” at the Big City Little Dog Fashion Show. All the pups looked mahvelous dahling at what turned out to be NYC’s biggest puppy play date. So much fun.
Hugs all around for the Big City Little Dog "Best In Show" winner.
Oh my -- so much to tell, so many more to thank -- so little space. But you get the idea. a pawsome time was had by all. And all for a great cause! So, mark it down in your calendar -- 2/1o/2012 -- for the 2nd annual Big City Little Dog Fashion Show at the pet friendly New Yorker Hotel. Yeah!
And speaking/barking of the pawsome pet friendly New Yorker Hotel -- a four paws up to all the fab humans there who helped make our doggie fashion show ROCK/BARK. To the guys at the Manhattan Center too. And to my fave magazine, Fetch, Pet Plan Insurance and the healthy & yummy Nature’s Variety treats - a big Arf-Arf for making our swag bags so much fun to open.
OK, I’m exhausted. You’ve gotta visit NYC . . . with your pup, of course!
Arf-Arf,
Schmitty
