Green beans - $27.99 Eating healthy - priceless!

That’s just one of my funny travel tails from my West Coast Tour. My pesky sister, Pudge, my 2 legged folks and I flew from NYC to Portland, OR. Then by way of Eugene, OR we drove all the way down the coast and finally ended up in Los Angeles.

First we went to Eugene for a pawty. It was on a big ranch. I even sang Yappy Birthday. I overheard folks say @Pianoweatherman played a mean piano. (Personally, I didn’t know pianos could be mean). We spent 3 days at the Copper WindMill Ranch. A pawsome place on a hill overlooking the mountains in OR. Not a skyscraper in sight. Although it rained most of the time, we had lots of fun. Can you believe me, a 5 pound city slicker tried my hand/paw at being a cowdog and hung out with mules . . .

Ms Lyn and Mr. Bill -- top dogs at the CWM Ranch work like dogs keeping up this beautiful ranch and entering big mule team competitions. They even renovate old time buggies that the mule teams pull in the big events. I just had to do a weather pawcast with my new mule friends and one from one of their buggies. Check em’ out . . . partner.

Then it was off to visit good friends in Walnut Creek for another pawty. This vacationing can be exhausting! BOL! On our way we hit a snowstorm in the Shasta Mtns. And some really good pizza in Arbuckle, CA . . . or so I heard.

Next stop -- the very pet friendly Cypress Inn in Carmel, CA. Talk about pawsome! And guess who the owner is? Here’s a clue . . . *singing/barking Que Sera Sera* Give up? The famous actress and pet lover, Ms Doris Day. Ms. Day wasn’t there (darn) but my tail was waggin’ when I got to meet her partner and co-owner, Mr. Denny DeVett. He is one fun human.

We spent two pawsome days at the Cypress Inn. Dogs are treated like royalty. I met lots of nice pups in the bar.

Carmel is a wonderful town. Clint Eastwood was mayor. Sigh. And the famous Pebble Beach is right there too. It’s so beautiful I can’t get teed off that dogs aren’t allowed to chase golf balls on the course. Arf-Arf!

As much as I could have stayed forever in Carmel, we high tailed it to Los Angeles to visit more friends. Good thing I like car rides. BOL! We checked into the pet friendly Santa Monica Loews Hotel. Another pawsome place to stay. Here’s my poolside weather pawcast overlooking Santa Monica beach and pier. Just pinch me so I know I haven’t died and gone to heaven!

And they took care of my dietary needs . . . even if the green beans were $27.99 (They were delicious BTW!).

We toured Santa Monica. Fun, fun.

Obviously this Santa Monica homeowner didn't wanna mow the lawn!

And spent lots of time with my almost two legged Grandparents. I *heart* Jerry & Pat!

Being spoiled on vacation? A pup could get used to that!

Don’t get me wrong. I *heart* NYC. It’s my kinda town. But my west coast “good will tour” was so much fun, I could definitely go bi -- coastal. Now if I could just cut a deal with American Airlines. BOL!
